K Soul, is an East London artist breaking the boundaries of soul. A non-conforming talent explores her African and Caribbean heritage whilst combining sensual soulful, trap and RnB beats and lyrics that awaken you and feed you sensual tranquility. Her mantra “I Sing To Enlighten myself with my truths, my moods, my soul,” is the testament of K Soul’s artistry. When we atNEO came across this enlightening babe we had to find out what her guilty pleasures were, let me tell you now they are exactly like ours!

NEO: How long have you been making music?

K SOUL: I have been making (recording music since 2017 making my first song “Grooving” in 2017, still I like to say I started in from the age of 10 as I used to write songs/poetry by myself and with my sisters. Officially, I started releasing music seriously in 2018 with my first official single/video “Love Pain”

NEO: What is your favourite part about being a musician?

K SOUL: My favourite part about being a musician is that moment In the studio and on stage when those around you confirm they are feeling the vibe, all I need to know is someone feels something.

NEO: Explain your last single using three words?

K SOUL: Everlasting, Solid, Meaningful

NEO: When experiencing a creative block, what do you do to combat it?

K SOUL: Usually I let the moment pass, I never force it, I let that feel be and travel; perhaps the mood could be my next single.

NEO: What is your biggest inspiration?

K SOUL: What - is my ability; Because if I wasn’t able I would not be sharing/making music at all. Who - is my Mother & Erykah Badu.

NEO: If you could be any animal in the animal kingdom, what would you be and why?

K SOUL: I would be a Lion or Gorilla because they are top of the food chain, they are comfy being lonesome yet can call on the whole jungle.

NEO: Out of all the songs you have released which is your favourite? And why?

K SOUL: Gospel Twerk - This is my favourite track simply because of the vibe and controversial lyrics used. What’s more I feel the song holds a lot of unspoken truths about today’s society.

NEO: What is your guilty pleasure?

K SOUL:My guilty pleasure is ice cream & men.

NEO: If you were not an artist, what other career would you have gone into?

K SOUL: If I wasn’t an artist I believe I’d be an actress, I'm a drama Queen at times.

NEO: What other music genre would you like to explore and why?

K SOUL: Rock - I would love to perform with a live rock band, their instrumentation and vocal ranges are crazyyyy!
