- Samaria - Didn’t start with you
Bay Area Songstress, Samaria, recently released a stunning body of work called “Didn’t start with you”. Didn’t start with you is a 6 track EP that will take you through the motions. It’s a well composed project about heartbreak, it takes you from denial, to anger and then to acceptance. This EP is filled with nothing but pure R&B, she has successfully channeled some old school vibes and made it her own. There are obvious influences from some of the greats which makes her sound almost familiar. When I listen to her music I can’t help but think it’s like if Aaliyah and Lauryn Hill had a baby. Samaria encompasses ethereal vocals that will take you out of this world. Her lyrics are beautifully written in every track, an impeccable pen game. Although all the tracks on this EP don’t miss, the stand outs for me are “out the way” and “Insanity”. I just can’t pick one. Insanity features Tone Stith who is an amazing vocalist in his own right. “Didn't start with you” is now out on all streaming platforms, go and check it out and let us know what you think!
